One Hot Laser – Our Story, One Hot Laser is a husband & wife small business. Gordon and Lori Taylor live in Crystal River, Florida. When they’re not working in the workshop, you can usually find them fishing in the Gulf. Gordon’s passion is cooking, and Lori’s lifelong hobby is gardening. Gordon started engraving wood with a CNC Router in 2021. He bought it as a hobby to make gifts for family and friends. Then folks started asking him to make items for them to purchase. Cutting boards, house signs, charcuterie boards, and children’s puzzles are among some of the many cool items he makes. He specializes in colored epoxy filled and wood inlays. Plexi-glass engraving too such as backsplashes and boat dashboards. The first laser engraving machine arrived in 2023. Now we have 4 laser machines, each with its own unique strengths and purpose. Soooo many things can be made with a laser engraving machine, and with many different materials. Gordon is continually challenged to create engravings for new items. Examples of Materials that can be lasered: wood, plastic, glass, stainless steel, aluminum, leather, acrylic, slate.
